I’ve already had one very valid query about the Neil Gaiman Signed Books Auction:
If you bid on an item, does your email address get published publicly? NO, IT DOES NOT.
Rest assured that the only thing that sees your email is the auction software itself (even I don’t see it) and, if you win the bid when the auction ends, PayPal sends you an email with an invoice asking you to pay the amount of the auctioned item. That are the only places your email will be seen, which is all internal. Other people will never see your email address: it’s all done under the veil of anonymity.
