Autumn is upon us — is winter coming?

It’s that time of year where the evening skies are like Maxfield Parrish paintings and the trees suddenly burst into color literally overnight.
Driving to work this morning, I noticed the trees did literally turn color overnight — like a switch flipped. Fastest I’ve ever seen it. One in particular in Fairlee, across from the diner on Rt. 5, is in full blaze.
This photo was taken last night as I left the store, looking over toward the Buzz and southwards, at dusk.
