by Marley Rose-Teter

Part coming-of-age, part dark fantasy, Marley Rose-Teter places the reader and her two young protagonists in a Fae City below a lake.

Our 2 main protagonists are young lovers that haven’t been given quite a fair start in the world. Unfortunately, they do not fair as well in the fairy either. There tales are told in both the real world and the fantastical.

At times, the pacing can be as asymmetrical as the fae present themselves beneath the water, but the descriptions of this odd and sometimes macabre kingdom seem to almost distort time itself.

I highly recommend “Bone Brides” to anyone into bizarre imagery or twisted fairy tales with layers of beauty, as well as anyone who had a rough start in life with a likewise partner.
