“INTELLIGENCE MANDATE – THE END IS NIGH. ENTITY IS FORCE OF NATURE AKIN TO GRAVITY. LOCAL AREA OF REVERSED ENTROPY. DREAMS OF CHAOS. BLOOD. FILTH. DEATH. MAKE PEACE WITH YOUR GODS. PREPARE FOR HELL ON EARTH. THIS IS THE END. PRAY.

A man in a basement who accidentally found a way to listen to the warnings of the planet, a neurodivergent NASA scientist who uses sentient smart goggles to navigate social situations, a native Cherokee man and his once estranged daughter living at ground zero, and a US military weapons specialist are all drawn to ground zero: a Native American burial mound in Spiro, Oklahoma.

“Hole In the Sky” is an action-packed SciFi thrill ride with elements of Lovecraftian folk horror. Each chapter rockets the reader from one point-of-view to the next with nary a lul in the process. Although it’s written as more of a cinematic thrill-ride and not a character piece, each person in the story is completely unique and perfectly drive the plot straight to its climax.

If you’re looking to read something fast-paced that mixes xenomorphs with Eldritch horrors, I highly recommend This book.
