First of all, Gabby is fine, but she won’t be in the store anymore. My assistant won’t be here from now on — my husband, Andrew Phillips, and I are back to running it ourselves. We not only wish him no harm, but also wish him the best in some endeavors only he can do for himself. He’s been a terrific assistant and a good friend.
I’ll still be posting online (Instagram, FB, Twitter: we’re “starcatbooks”) daily “star cats” of my own — Willow (1 year old as of 2 weeks ago) and Spike (14 years old this year) are still in fine fettle and very photogenic.
In the meantime, the news is SEPTEMBER IS BACK TO SCHOOL SAVINGS: 10% off all children’s books, both new and used. We take cash, check, debit/credit card (with a $10 minimum because of fees) — and of course we order books every two weeks (new books); inquire about a book you’re interested in!
Thank you for being patient while we shielded the store’s windows with our beautiful Swedish curtains — that summer sun was brutal. The curtains are coming down tonight, and you’ll be able to see us again!
